DEDICATED TO EVERY CITY GARDENER
WHO HAS EVER WONDERED
IF THEY COULD LIVE ON WHAT THEY GROW
After 20 years of apartment living in Spain, Italy, Malaysia and Sydney we moved into an old style Queensland house with a yard, 3km from the CBD of Brisbane in sub-tropical Australia.
And within four years and some rooky trial and error, we owned chickens, produced a weekly basket of vegetables and dealt with the occasional glut of tomatoes and infestation of unknown insects.
This blog is for city dwellers who go to work each week with just a little dirt under their fingernails ...
The Almost Weekly
I'm a resident of Brisbane, Australia with a busy day job and a vegetable garden for sanity. I returned to Brisbane in 2013 after almost 20 years in Spain, Malaysia, Italy and the big smoke (Sydney) - having studied here in the early 1990s.
I'm a country girl at heart, descended from the dairy farmers of Northern NSW. I'm incredibly proud of my coastal hometown - beautiful Woolgoolga, NSW.
